Dr. George Aitken 1955-2012

North Carolina Swimming received the sad news that it had lost a long time official. George Aitken died last Monday after a prolonged battle with cancer.  Services were held on Saturday. George was an official in the Durham area for years with several teams. His wife served as a meet director for THAT. His sons, James and Michael both swam for North Carolina Swimming teams and went on to swim for ACC schools.
