Bylaws – Bylaws are the primary governance document. They define the organization, it’s membership and the rights of the members within the organization. Bylaws are voted on by the membership and can be changed by a 2/3 majority of the membership present at a House of Delegates meeting.

Rules and Regulations – The rules and regulations (rules) set forth the fees and instructions that North Carolina Swimming uses to operate. The rules can be changed by a 50% majority of the membership at a House of Delegates meeting.

Policies and Procedures – The policies and procedures (policies) define how rules and regulations are put into action. Policies are enacted by a majority vote of the Board of Directors.
House of Delegates – North Carolina Swimming has a House of Delegates weekend each spring around the third week of April and each fall the weekend immediately following the United States Aquatic Sports Convention, typically the last week of October. Committee meetings and training are held Saturday afternoon. A Board of Directors meeting is held Sunday morning and the House of Delegates is held Sunday afternoon. All upcoming meetings will be updated on the Calendar.
